Evenings…

Walking away from home is the toughest decision to make. Our families make all the arrangements to convince us, making us feel that this is the right thing to do. Well, aren’t we taught, if we don’t change, we don’t grow. Off we are, let to spread our wings, to take the flight into that unknown sky, reaching for the horizon. Once we loosen some strings of grief of leaving our nest, lies ahead of us the canvas to fill. Every new day is a struggle between aloneness and loneliness. That is when the reality strikes us, this is what the adulting feels like.

How far away we fly, there is a time of the day, everyday, that brings back all the memories of home, all the good and the bad, all the happy and sad, EVENING. It is called the evening , may be, because it evens out all the feelings that, we all have gone through in the day, all the ups and downs, all the agitations and exasperations, which are evened by the joy of homecoming. Evening, the time when all the birds, who spread the wings in search of their purpose in the day, return to their nests, only to reunite with their loved ones, to realize the ultimate purpose of life, happiness. Evening, an end to a tiresome day seeking refuge with the loved ones, to re energize and fly higher the next day.

But as adults, emotions change. Evenings no more mark the joy of homecoming, but a deep down sadness. Sadness of being away from loved ones, one more day. One more day of not being able to return to the nest, to not feel that happiness.

Is it all worth it? Is nest not the place to check on each other, everyday? Are we still up to take the challenges of the next day without that re-energization? Ultimately, are we happy as we were, without our nest?

Its about time, to know, when is the right time to go back to our nests. And stay there to seek the forever happiness.
